The Apache Way
Does interfacing audio between your recorder, computer, mixer and other audio tools mean reaching into a jumbled tangle of optical cable spaghetti? Instead of repatching, handle your channels with Apache!
With Apache, you'll set up your optical digital audio cabling connections once. Then, send audio from any channel (or combination of channels) to any other by simply pushing two user-definable routing buttons. With up to 96 channels available at 24-bit resolution, you can easily route up to four sets of 24-channel equipment (like digital tape machines, hard disk recorders, computers, and a digital mixer).
Choose ADAT Lightpipe or S/PDIF
Apache employs the industry standard in multichannel digital audio interfaces: ADAT Optical ("lightpipe"). Its 12 inputs and 12 outputs can be used for ADAT connections (8 channels each) or optical S/PDIF interfacing (2 channels each). With this versatile flexibility, you can route CD, CD-R, DAT and other digital signals throughout your studio with a couple of button presses.
Handle Your Sound Gently
You can expect the best audio quality using Apache, since it provides an independent PLL for each input. Each input stream is precisely re-clocked so that the output stream carries the full integrity of the input, ensuring excellent fidelity with no jitter or distortion.
The Professional Solution
Apache offers 12 user-definable presets internally, and more routing setups may be controlled via MIDI. Each input and output provides an easy-to-see front panel activity indicator. For large facilities, multiple Apaches may be cascaded for even more interfacing. If you've been looking for the most efficient, highest-quality means of flying digital signals throughout your studio, Apache is the answer!
