AlphaTrack and Mackie’s Tracktion 3.0.2.6

Mackie stepped up to the plate when they added support for the TranzPort wireless DAW controller in Tracktion 2. With Tracktion 3 they have hit a home run by including full native support for AlphaTrack, the compact DAW editing controller. Frontier Design Group is proud to provide this remarkably powerful control surface to Tracktion 3 users. AlphaTrack goes beyond simple level and pan control by giving you fast, intuitive access to Sends, EQ, Plug-In and Automation settings, all at your finger tips.

“Native Mode” support for AlphaTrack is a breeze to set up in Tracktion 3. Simply enable the AlphaTrack for MIDI Input and Output on the MIDI tab of the Tracktion Settings panel. Next, select the Control Surfaces tab and highlight “Frontier Design Group AlphaTrack” At the bottom of the page set the Input and Output device to itself. That’s it, you are ready to go. The AlphaTrack’s LCD display should reflect the currently selected track and other project information.

Tracktion 3 and AlphaTrack contains detailed instructions for configuring the AlphaTrack for use with Tracktion 3. Information on how to use some of AlphaTracks’ less-obvious features and a reference chart listing the default controls for Tracktion 3 are found in this useful document as well.

Tracktion 3 Layout is a single page picture of the AlphaTrack with overlaid text summarizing the Tracktion 3 feature set. It may be helpful to print this file and have it handy as a quick reference guide.
