AlphaTrack Quote

AlphaTrack and Reason
Now one of the hottest virtual studio programs can be controlled by AlphaTrack. Starting with version 3.0.3, Reason has hooks for AlphaTrack built-in based on the new Remote capabilities. No longer do you have to be stuck in front of the monitor while creating your next hit grooves!
Naturally basic transport controls are supported, and the innovative touch-strip lets you navigate your project with ease. But how about access to every instrument in your rack? Adjust the pan of your Toms in Redrum, select a filter in Combinator, or tweak an oscillator in Subtractor. Literally hundreds of controls at your finger tips.
Installation is a snap. While loading AlphaTrack’s drivers from the CDROM:
On Windows —Select “Install Driver and Plugins” and proceed through the installation procedure. When you reach the “Select Additional Tasks” window make sure that “Install the Reason plugin” box is checked, then continue the installation.
On Mac OS X—Double-click the “AlphaTrack Remote Installer” package and follow its instructions.
Then launch Reason go to Preferences/Control Surfaces and Keyboards window and hit “Auto-detect Surfaces.” Reason will automatically find and attach the AlphaTrack and load up the default button mappings.
The Frontier Design Group website has two PDF documents created specifically for Reason 3 users. The first, Reason and AlphaTrack is a guide to using AlphaTrack with Reason v3.0.3 and contains detailed instructions for configuring and customizing your AlphaTrack. The guide also includes a quick reference chart listing the default controls for Reason.
The second file, Reason Layout is a single page picture of the AlphaTrack controller with overlaid text showing the default button mappings. It may be helpful to print this file and have it handy as a quick reference guide.
