AlphaTrack and Adobe Audition 2.0

AlphaTrack, the world’s most powerful compact DAW controller, now supports Adobe Audition (v2.0). Mix, edit, and automate from a device that fits comfortably next to your computer. AlphaTrack’s intuitive transport controls and user programmable function buttons let you spend more time creating, and less time mousing around. AlphaTrack is quickly becoming an indispensable addition to home and professional studios alike.

Adobe Audition 2.0 and AlphaTrack

Native Mode support of AlphaTrack in Audition is accomplished through a special control surface file. This file can be installed manually at any time, or as part of the AlphaTrack driver installation (by checking the box for the Adobe Audition plug-in during the Windows driver installation). Installing the plug-in places the necessary control surface file into the Audition 2.0 folder. For full details on installing AlphaTrack on your computer check out the included Audition 2.0 Guide pdf, also available on the downloads page.

Once the drivers are installed and AlphaTrack is configured for Native Mode, open Audition 2.0 and select AlphaTrack in the external controller panel of the Edit/Preferences window. That’s all there is to it. Click the Configure button to customize many of AlphaTrack’s functions if you want.

Adobe Audition 2.0 Setup

The Frontier Design Group website includes two PDF documents created specifically for Adobe Audition users. The latest versions of these docs can be found on the AlphaTrack downloads page.

The first document, Audition 2.0 Guide, contains detailed instructions for configuring and using AlphaTrack with Adobe Audition, information about how to use some of AlphaTrack’s advanced features, as well as a reference chart listing the full set of controls for Adobe Audition.

The second file, Audition 2 Layout, is a single page picture of the AlphaTrack controller with overlaid text summarizing the Adobe Audition feature set. It may be helpful to print this file and have it handy as a quick reference guide.
