I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "Mod Wheel". In the musical sense or control surface sense? Can you be more specific?
The AlphaTrack doesn't have the ability to send keyboard type mod-wheel messages while still acting as a control surface in Logic. However, if you are talking about control surface functions, and also happen to be a wizard with Logic's Controller Assignments panel, theoretically you can reconfigure much of what it does. Digging into this is not for the faint hearted though.

sorry, yes as a keyboard cc messages for mod wheel or pitch band, if so then it would mean taking it out of control surface mode, is that possible ?

Wellllll....., sort or, I think.
If you Delete the AlphaTrack icon from the Logic/Preferences/Control Surfaces/Setup menu so that Logic isn't trying to use it as a control surface, then you could use an app like MIDI Translator to convert the AlphaTracks fader or encoder messages to other MIDI, ie cc values and probably make it work.
Keep in mind that Logic will remount the AlphaTrack next time you launch it unless you also remove the AlphaTrack.bundle file from the MIDI Device Plug-Ins Folder inside Logic.
