Topic: Fader and Logic 8

Seem to be lots of posts around about this. tried them all and wont rectify:
Having similar problems. Logic 8.0.2 OSX 10.5.6 Alphatrack Manager 1.3
Load Logic and Alphatrack sometimes (not always)switches back to Native mode
All pots and switches work as expected
Can write automation with fader
Fader wont read
Fader wont snap to selected track vol position
Fader sometimes in toggle mode (so is either at -78db or minus infinity)
Sometimes 2 Faderports appear in set up.



Was about to buy 30 of these for my workplace... becoming less and less likely now ! Help!!!

Can anyone help?

OK , JUSUT DONE THIS
1. Confirm that you have only 1 copy of the AlphaTrack.bundle file on your computer, and it is located inside the Logic/Show Package Contents/Contents/MIDI Device Plug-ins folder.
2. Repair Permissions on the your entire computer.
3. Select Logic/Preferences/Control Surfaces/Rebuild Defaults.
4. Logic Preferences/Midi/Reset All MIDI Ports
5. Go to Logic/Preferences/Control Surfaces/Setup. Highlight the AlphaTrack icon and delete it. Then close and relaunch Logic.

AND ITS CURED IT. SORRY.. SHOULDVE SEARCHED THE FORUM BEOFRE POSTING!!!

Hello John,

No Problem. It sounds like you have solved your problem but just checking in to make sure. Maybe you had some old configuration information in there from the FaderPorts or some other device. Anyway, if you have any further questions feel free to ask.
