Thanks fclef
It appears the problem is with the control app that resides in the tray and how it pokes their driver, as you said. Once I disabled it in msconfig, it works as expected and shuts down without BSOD.
Whats kind of sad is that FD have not fixed this yet as it's their app that is causing their driver to BSOD.  But at least they made ishread for my iPhone...
Can you say lost focus...

The bluescreening only happened during shutdown; however, with the Tranzport driver loaded during startup and always resident, I did experience random crashes with Sonar. These stopped as soon as I inabled the resident driver.
And yes, I'm running the 64-bit version of Windows 7 and am, like you, wondering why it has taken FD so long to fix this bug.

Mind explaining how you inabled the resident driver?

If you unplug tranzport before shutting down win 7 x64, it does not bluescreen.
It says that about vits64 as well on the driver download page. Sad thing is, FD have known about this bug in their driver since they released it in 2007 but have not fixed it yet. That's wonderful support...

I was able to install Tranzport on Windows 7 and it's working correctly. Try setting the "compatibility" to Windows XP and only install the Tranzport driver. Install any other plugs separately. Also, I strongly suggest that you use MSconfig to disable the Tranzport from loading during startup. Having the Tranzport always resident frequently results in a BSOD during shutdown.

Thanks, I set it to Vista compatibility and it installed fine.
Does it only BSOD on shut down for you? Are you using x64 version of win 7?
TIA

Using 1.4.4, I'm getting an error message that states it can't be installed on this version if windows. Any workarounds?
