Topic: Can the Fader be assigned to send CC11 Expression data ?

I saw and earlier question on this forum asking the same thing but It wasn't clear from the answer if it could on not.

I understand that the FLIP function can swap what ever function is assigned to the rotary encoders over to the fader... but it wasn't clear from the what I've read if the rotary encoders can be set up to send CC11 ?

I'm using Logic 9.2 and would love to buy one for use as a realtime expression controller with various orchestral sample libraries that rely on the mod wheel being used for other controll data  ( East West Hollywood Strings )

Any words of Wisdom ?

Beer.

Re: Can the Fader be assigned to send CC11 Expression data ?

Hi BeerMaster,

The AlphaTrack can't directly control cc data but if you are using the sample libraries in Logic, you should be able to access all the plug-in parameters (like expression) using the AlphaTrack's 'plugin' mode button. From there you can select which plugin to access and then select the parameter for control.

Hope this helps.
